On 13 January 2007, Wilfried released “The Interview Collection” as a common platform for 4 individual interview projects.

The Interview Collection hosted by The New Museum of Networked Art, is the result of Wilfried’s art net working since 2000, covering interviews by artists from relevant digital art media like “netart”, “soundart” and “videoart”, but also about “curating” & the “content related” interviews on “collective trauma”.

In 2004, JIP – JavaMuseum Interview Project started – when Wilfried was inviting the artists participating in the JavaMuseum shows since 2000 for an interview, , in 2005 followed VIP – VideoChannel Interview Project about videoart, in 2006 SIP – SoundLab Interview Project about sonic arm, and in 2010 SFCIP – Shoah Film Collection Interview Project – in total, Wilfried interviewed about 850 artists.

The interviews have the meaning to give the reader relevant background information about the creation of the respective art works – their making of, the motivations, as well, as about the creators, but also a better understanding for the respective artistic media and contents – they form this way an alternative communication platform intending to reduce the distance between the creators and the user (audience).

In this way, the interviews form a unique source for understanding the diversity of contemporary art working with audio-visual and digital media.
