Códec - About

Códec International Festival for Experimental Film & Video

https://kinefilmproject.wixsite.com/experimental/codec-2018
The International Festival of Experimental and Video Film was born in 2015, recently linked to KINÉ Experimental and Art Films, to strengthen the production, diffusion and exhibition of audiovisual media.
It is dedicated to reflect on the experimentation of the moving image and the sound in its different forms for social transformation and the collective between visual culture.
CODEC is to communicate and change information through sight and hearing, it is a universal code of free expression.
This programming is composed of elements of the individual, to show us his panorama, questioning the possibilities of the decomposition, vision, memory, movement, corporeal, provocation, abstract, exploration, plasticity, political, humanity, the place where we are now … risky proposals and avant-garde, outside the commercial cinema. Connect with the world and be able to circulate inside a cinematographic deconstruction.
”De-Construcciónes” is an eclectic show that reaffirms its mission to spread an unconventional cinema, with a national and international perspective.

WOW Mexico
Curatorial statement:
We are all in search of something, material or immaterial, the need to express ourselves to question or convey a sensation at the moment, a sound, a feeling, an emptiness, memories either through.
The memory and the body or simply appropriating something that you love and turning it into something.
