Today, Wilfried is on his way in Slovenia. Celje is the 3rd largest town in Slovenia having Celtic roots. It is a culturally very interesting region, but Wilfried did Slovenia not visit for more than one day, he was several times in Croatia passing Slovenia coming from Austria or Italy. During the 1st decade of the new millenium, Wilfried was uptodate what was going on in the field of video, he participated with his own video works in several festivals in their first edition. In the case of Video Festival Celje, it was the year 2007, but after the 3rd edition in 2010 the lack of funding made the festival director discontinue. Differently than the places at the adriatic coast, the inland places generally do not attract so many tourists, so organising a festival in experimental fields, at least at that time it was like that, is representing a challenge which has no winners. Wilfried participates in the first edition with two of his experimental videos, but already one year later in 2008, he is thinking the festival would actually a better place for his curatorial projects. So, he is offering the festival a special guest screening program, eg The Best of CologneOFF I-III”, and in 2009 is going even a step further ahead, because his recently initiated new presentation context “CologneOFF invites…” is offering the collaboration partners the screening program of another collaboration partner. This idea is very challenging and dangerous alike due to its optional “momentum”, and Wilfried recognized, that by following such am unselfish strategy he would sooner or later moneuvre himself out, therefore after some of such presentations, he stopped. Wilfried likes to experiment with new forms of collaborations based of mutual trust, but not all partners are made for that. Celje, however was a good, but unfortunately short experience!

“CologneOFF invites….!” and Festival Miden present 17 Greek video artists at Video Festival Celje/Slovenia
In the framework of “CologneOFF invites….!” screening program, CologneOFF presents in the 3rd Video Festival Celje/Slovenia “Videorats: Electric rats dream electric dreams”, 2-5 July 2009, a selection of Greek Video Art from Festival Miden.
The screening is entitled “Realities, surrealities and other crimes…” and will be presented on 2/7/2009, at 21.00.

House of Tomorrow, 2005, 3:40
The house of tomorrow is the house of one’s identity, it does not need to be a concrete house or building, but represents a secure and protected place where people can stand for what they are and represent, a human being. And this human may have many identities in different fields, the sexual identity represents only one among many others.

The experimental film tells the story of a homeless person, who lost its identity in all the traumatic experiences it was undergoing. Again, Agricola de Cologne uses the form of the allegorical representation for pointing to essential questions of human existence. All people are homeless in on or the other way, most however, suffer from it without being aware of it. The film is a mirror of our time which has lost its roots.
