due to massive health problems, the launch of NMF2020’7 needed to be postponed, but today it is so far.
The basis of the July edition is Wilfried’s exhibition project
self/portrait – a show for Bethlehem – a show for Peace
it was and is Wilfried’s contribution as an artist and curator for World Peace, by pointing to the humanitarian desaster happening on the Westbank at that time (2006) and today, of course, as well, but nobody cares. For his engagement for humanity Wilfried was called a “terrorist” by people, of course, who do not want peace in Middle East. The exhibition as such is actually rather conventional, because it is dealing with a classical topic – the artist’s selfportrait, but in the given case the participating artists show face in a literally sense via their face for the aims carried by the exhibition.
This starting point for July is accompanied by two darkroom presentations – the 4th collaboration with TAM – Torrance Art Museum via 7 different screening programs, which are presented online between 18 July and 2 September 2020 on the TAM Darkroom page online due to the Corona restrictions, and the 2nd darkroom is honouring the collaboration with Video Art Miden (2008 – 2017), a festival located in Greece featuring in total 8 progams streaming online like they were presented once in physical space.
So the basis of the July edition is including the PAST and Present, as well as the Future in shape of the daily features in the framework of The 365 Days Diary – to be released during July.
