Today in 2006, Wilfried is visiting the capital of the Basque country – Vitoria-Gasteiz, where D-NEFF – New European Experimental Film Festival is starting including Wilfried’s video: “Distortion Project”, an attempt to deal and overcome the terror attack of 1998 and the coma 1998/1999. One year later, in 2007, D-NEFF will be taking place 01-06 October, including his latest video: “Bareback – serial DIScharge, about the loss of identity. Wilfried’s general topic (memory & identity”since 2000 did not change during the years, while he was trying to find an artistic solution in dealing in his individual artworks (videos, netart, photography), since 2005 he slowly was switching to find the solutions in curating the topic, by inviting other artists and curators.

In 1998, Agricola de Cologne became a victim of a terror attack. The video is the attempt to make the traumatic experiences perceivable via metaphoric images on an emotional level .
The artist’s voice performing one of his musical compositions uses sound instead of words in order to symbolize the speechlessness and inability of the people surrounding him to react properly.

The experimental film tells the story of a homeless person, who lost its identity in all the traumatic experiences it was undergoing. Again, Agricola de Cologne uses the form of the allegorical representation for pointing to essential questions of human existence. All people are homeless in on or the other way, most however, suffer from it without being aware of it. The film is a mirror of our time which has lost its roots.
San Vito al Tagliamento
Today in 2005, is the 3rd day of Wilfried’s visit in San Vito. Invited by Angelo Bertani, curator of Hic et Nunc 2005 (it will be the last time that he is curating this annual event) to attend the opening yesterday, 11 June 2005, Wilfried will take the chance to explore the region (together with Angelo Bertani & his wife) and because San Vito is just a few stops away from Venice by train, Wilfried will be visiting Venice Biennale 2005 he is participating in via 2 projects described in the article of 9 June. He is presenting at “Antico Ospedale Dei Battuti” his VideoChannel selection for Hic et Nunc, better known as “Selection 03”, but he was already participating in 2001 the 1st time at “Hic et Nunc” and the special part “Condominium”, with a photograph in the exhibition of web-art.
Wilfried was attending also the inauguration of this event, but it was the first travel he made after his reconstruction from the coma 1998/99, and it was actually a failure because Wilfried wasn’t yet in the proper physical and psychological condition. So, one might even speak, Wilfried was leaving San Vito in panic because he couldn’t stand the situation. One year later, such problems had vanished. But after such a traumatic experience, sometimes it’s always the first time. In this way, Wilfried will never forget, also the hospitality of Angelo Bertani and his lovely wife. It is such a pity, that she got after Hic at Nunc in 2005 a serious desease causing Angelo Bertani to discontinue curating “Hic et Nunc”. What a pity! It was such a great event he was organising in the region in the North of Venice and its wonderful villas and palazzi!
